About WASS

At WASS, we offer diverse international educational programs that embrace a safe and healthy environment and nurture young global citizens who are engaged, active, and reflective. Students are taught to appreciate the Vietnamese cultural values and identities with international mindedness forming a solid foundation for the future of studying abroad or career development.

Programs

The WASS Kindergarten program is a combination of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training program and the Western Australian curriculum framework, which ensures a balance between lessons and play time based on age, year level, and physiological age.

Licensed by the School Curriculum and Standard Authority of Western Australia (SCSA), WASS offers the Western Australian Curriculum for students from Pre-Primary to Year 10. It is designed to teach students what it takes to be confident and creative individuals and become active and informed citizens. It sets the goal for what all students should learn as they progress through their school life – wherever they live and whatever school they attend.

Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) is awarded to senior secondary school students who satisfy its requirements. It is a senior secondary certificate recognized nationally in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program is an internationally recognized curriculum, designed for secondary school students between the ages of 16 and 19 years that aims to foster internationally-minded and well-rounded students.

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program at WASS is for students who are not yet proficient or who do not yet meet the English requirements to enter the international or bilingual classes at the Western Australian International School System.

Built on the English as Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) program, the EAP program is designed to gradually improve students’ English proficiency so that they can join one of the other two programs. Training programs are designed to provide the appropriate support for students in EAP classes.

The course is intensive in nature and requires a lot of work on the students’ part to help students develop the necessary skills in language required for academic success in college or university.
