WASS and PennSchool held Professional Development Week for the school year 2022 – 2023

To meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive reforms in global education, teachers must be able to heighten the quality of their teaching ethics, passion and pedagogical capacity. Therefore, teacher training is one of the most critical tasks in the Education sector, which has always been paid with special attention and to be deployed during every summer. It is an opportunity for teachers to enrich themselves with specialized knowledge, to improve their professional skills, and become ever more proactive and ready for the new school year.

WASS and PennSchool jointly held Professional Development Week (PD Week) for all teachers and staff from July 25th, 2022 to August 5th, 2022 across all campuses. Training sessions focus on teaching expertise, soft skills with a variety of topics that help provide the newest information on the school’s development strategies and policies to be implemented in the school year 2022 – 2023.

The selection of thematic training content is associated with the orientation of reforming the curriculum mandated by the Ministry of Education, updating textbooks to their most recent editions, all while ensuring that the content is highly suitable to the characteristics of each level of study without any compromises. Our speakers are experts, doctors, and professional teachers who have been voicing their experience enthusiastically. In addition, attending classes on school psychology is essential. Teachers are further equipped with knowledge and skills to help students deal with any difficulties they may face as they learn, including problems with physical and mental health and communication akin.

On July 26th, 2022, our teachers of WASS had a trip to visit the Ao Dai Museum and train on the topic of “Orienting practical learning projects for students”. From there, teachers will be able to plan practical experience classes, helping students to learn more optimally, together with real values.

Also in the premises of the PD Week’s activities, the Board of Directors and the Research and Development Department quickly deployed training for teachers of both schools on the newly implemented learning management software such as Canvas and S360 to promptly respond to emergency situations.

The teachers of WASS and PennSchool attended in full with a positive attitude. Many useful ideas were raised during this training session. Teachers and staff between campuses of the Group has had the opportunity to meet and share their experiences, thereby enhancing the spirit of teamwork, improving the sense of responsibility and nourishing the passion in the educational career that they themselves have chosen. With careful preparation of facilities and professional training for our teaching staff, we hope that the new school year 2022 – 2023 will see many successes in our life-long mission in contributing to the betterment of our commitment and quality in childcare and education.
